But the desire to change his life came in 2004, at the age of 38. After 12 years working in the field, he decided to leave the law and follow his dream: to create jewelry. At the time, she began to produce them with stones, which always fascinated her. This passion led her to research the subject and, when she realized it, she was making her own pieces. Then came the orders, and from there, she never stopped.

The launch of the homonymous brand came in the same year. Passionate about crafts and drawing since childhood, she did embroidery, crochet, painting and crafts. “I believe that this love contributed a lot to my desire to change areas. It was not an easy decision, but I had the support of my family and that was very important”, tells the designer to bazaar.

Initially, the concern with sustainability it was not present in his work, although it was already, in essence, sustainable. Suzana loves to mix gold, silver and precious stones with unusual and unusual materials such as straw, seed, fabric, glass, shells, beach stones, and, more recently, handmade ceramics. “I’m experimenting with creating all-ceramic pieces and loving the result. Today, I consider my commitment to craftsmanship to be my main contribution to sustainability,” she says.

Another way to contribute to the reduction of waste and impact on the environment is the production of lasting and timeless jewelry. Suzana does not follow trends and encourages clients to renovate and transform their old pieces into new ones. “We guarantee the maintenance of what we manufacture regardless of the time of acquisition. I understand that sustainability is a path, not a destination, and that’s why I’m always looking for improvements,” she explains. Reduce, recycle and reuse whenever possible is Suzane’s motto.

His latest collection called “Ceramic Jewelry” it’s a memory of the pandemic, when he decided to fulfill his old desire to work with clay. “I was so enchanted by the craft that I decided to combine my two passions, jewelry and ceramics. What I like most about this new phase are the infinite possibilities that ceramics provide and the fact that I make the pieces myself”, she explains. In addition to jewelry, Suzane produces decorative objects. “These are pieces with natural stones and materials such as wood, acrylic and ceramics”, she says. Real gems for the house.
